Project description
empowering people.Award
The empowering people.Award is an international competition launched by the Siemens Foundation in 2013. The aim of the award is to support social entrepreneurs with promising low-tech solutions in developing regions.
Submissions from different countries cover simple, smart solutions from many areas of basic needs – from energy, water and waste to health, financial technology, learning and ICT.
AT-Verband was commissioned to assess the submissions, including technology aspects, and to compile a shortlist of the best entries for a second expert team.
